Identity bindings
Grafana, the ADX Web UI, and Power BI authenticate with Microsoft Entra — the portal needs to know which Axiom token an Entra identity acts as. A binding is that mapping. The Kusto SDKs and Kusto.Explorer carry your token directly and need none.
Mint an Axiom API token. Axiom Console → Settings → API tokens. Query-only scope is the right choice.
Find the two GUIDs. Tenant id: Entra admin center → Overview. Principal id: for Grafana, your app registration's application (client) id; for the Web UI, the signed-in user's object id.
Bind. The token is verified with Axiom before anything is stored. Takes effect everywhere within a minute.
Enter the token whose bindings you want to see — bindings are only ever visible to the token they belong to.
Remove a single binding, or Purge all to unbind every identity at once.
Rebinding: an identity bound to a different token can only be rebound after that token removes it.
